Under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry: Two agreements worth €1.28 million signed to support green Palestinian industry
Ramallah, April 9, 2025 – Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Mr. Arafat Asfour, and in the presence of the President of the Palestinian Federation of Industries, Mr. Nassar Nassar, the Palestinian Federation of Food and Agricultural Industries and the Palestinian Federation of Stone and Marble Industries signed two agreements with the Belgian Development Agency (Enable), represented by the Agency's Director, Ms. Christelle Jockey. The agreements, worth €640,000 each, will implement a series of projects aimed at developing the targeted sectors.
These agreements aim to promote the transition towards a green and sustainable Palestinian industry by focusing on several axes, most notably: reducing industrial pollution, recycling solid waste and wastewater, and supporting and improving the efficiency of renewable energy use.
Participants emphasized that this step represents a strong start towards achieving sustainable industrial development and enhancing the role of the industrial sector in protecting the environment.
