The Palestinian Federation of Industries held a specialized training workshop entitled
(Strategic Thinking and Planning Using the Blue Ocean Methodology)
As part of its vision to promote innovation and enhance competitiveness within industrial establishments, the Palestinian Federation of Industries organized a specialized training workshop on Thursday, November 27, 2025, with the participation of all specialized industrial federations and a number of industrial enterprises.
This workshop is part of the Industrial Capacity-Building Project implemented by the Palestinian Federation of Industries, with the support and cooperation of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) and the Arab Institute for Industrial and Mining Training and Consulting.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Suha Awadallah, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Federation of Industries, who emphasized its importance in strengthening the specialized capacities of the General Federation and its sectoral unions. She noted that this workshop forms part of a series of dedicated training programs designed to serve the industrial sector. She also highlighted the ongoing efforts of the General Federation to institutionalize and expand services provided to industrial establishments.
Dr. Alaa Amro, an industrial expert, delivered an overview of the services offered by the Industrial Modernization Center and its vital role in supporting industrial development and enhancing competitiveness. He underscored the importance of the strategic partnership with the Arab Industrial Development and Standardization Organization (AIDMO). Dr. Amro outlined key challenges facing specialized industrial sectors and stressed the need for rapid interventions to improve quality, reduce waste, and boost competitiveness. He also emphasized the Center’s pivotal role in strengthening the capabilities of industrial companies and improving their operational readiness.
He further highlighted the importance of conducting field visits to the facilities participating in the workshop to assess production processes and monitor the application of newly acquired skills and knowledge.
Dr. Mamoun Rashid, Director of the Bara’a Association for Empowerment and Leadership, presented participants with a comprehensive methodology for strategic thinking and planning. He introduced practical tools that support companies in identifying new opportunities for differentiation, minimizing direct competition, and developing more profitable and high-impact production pathways.
